CBS News Reporter, Carolyn Gusoff, will join Antigone Rising at 3rd Annual BeachFest on Saturday, September 17th, as the band kicks off the day with a very special Girls Rising Outreach. Antigone Rising recently formed the nonprofit (501c3), Girls Rising, to inspire young girls and LGBT youth to pursue non-traditional career paths. The band has toured globally doing outreach work in Asia, Europe, The Middle East and all over North America with their message.
Carolyn Gusoff will moderate the panel and lead the discussion as the band and other BeachFest artists talk about their experiences as women in a male dominated field. The artists will also weave songs into the conversation.
